This is a half-comics, half-illustration I did for Tamsin Omond's book, Rush! (published autumn 2009) about her life as a climate change activist. I decided to take inspiration from the suffragettes' amazing political board games (they were brilliant at merchandise). Thinking about climate change and trying to act on it often feels like a snakes and ladders game to me - it's so easy to feel depressed and do nothing, but there are also so many sources of inspiration and encouragement to support you if you look for them. This illustration ended up on the cutting room floor, but could be re-born as a poster. See here for my jacket design for the book.

The illustration below was used in the 'how to make your own climate suffragette sash' section of the book.
